What is spot UV coating on packaging?

Spot UV coating is a finishing technique where a clear, ultra-glossy varnish is applied to specific areas of your packaging rather than the entire surface. It's called "spot" UV because the varnish is applied selectively (to a spot) and cured instantly using ultraviolet light.

The visual effect:
Spot UV creates a striking contrast between the high-gloss coated areas and the surrounding matte or soft-touch finish. This makes logos, images, and text literally pop off the surface — catching light and drawing the eye.
